If it is the rhythm you like

Geometry Dash: Mr Dubstep is a fan-made dash with the same one-button rule set and a boombox for a hero. Electron Dash moves the idea into a 3D tunnel with sidesteps. Neon Challenge Legends is a neon one-button dash timed to its track. Friday Night Funkin' is the rhythm game proper: four arrows, a health bar and a run of weeks to sing through.

If it is the one-button tension

G-Switch 2 and G-Switch 3 are gravity runners: the runner never stops and the one press flips you from floor to ceiling. Both seat several players at one keyboard, which is the best way to play them. Drift Boss is one press to turn and one release to straighten, on a road that ends if you get either wrong.

If it is the platforming

The OvO games are stick-figure parkour built for speedruns, with a jump, a slide and a dive that link together. Level Devil is the platformer that cheats; every level is a trap and the fun is finding out how. Rainbow Obby is the Roblox-style climb, Up Together is a co-op tower, and Tag and Tag 2 are playground tag for a few people on one keyboard. Snow Yeet is a sled race with snowballs.

If it is the speed

Tunnel Rush and Slope Tunnel are the first-person tunnel dashes. The Dinosaur Game is Chrome's offline runner, Dino Run is PixelJam's pixel-art escape from extinction, Running Fred is a 3D castle sprint, Rhino Rush Stampede and Rodeo Stampede: Savannah are animal runners, and Stickman Race is a rooftop foot race. Bloxorz is the odd one out: a block-rolling puzzle for when you want to think instead of react.
